A downloadable game for Windows

Primavera is a tactical game in which two factions, Spring and Winter, fight each other in a territory war. The three units composing each faction are able to "attack" the squares composing this field so that they took their faction's colors. The faction with the most squares after 15 turns wins the game. But units can also upgrade a square owned by their faction, making it more difficult for the opponent to get it back...

Two playing modes are available: Player vs. Player and Player vs. AI.

Rules

  • Each square has two attributes: its owner faction (Spring, Winter or neutral) and its inlay level, from 0 to 3.
  • To take a square, you must attack it with one of your units and bring its inlay level below 0.
  • If one of your unit attacks a square you already possessed, the square level increases. If the level reaches 3, this square becomes an obstacle for the units your opponent controls. They will not be able to go through it anymore or attack the squares behind it.
  • If the square your unit is on is attacked by one of your opponents, your unit will not be able to use its special capacity this turn.
  • If an unit is stucked in a level 3 square controlled by the opposing faction, it can only exit by moving one square this turn, and cannot attack until the next turn.
  • Each units has a specific class: Sniper, Protector, and Inlayer. The attack pattern and special capacity of each unit will depend on its class:
    • The Sniper is a class designed to fight from a distance, favouring long-range attacks for rapid control of territory. Its capacity allows it to wipe out opposite squares, ignoring obstacles in its path.
    • The Protector is a support class, only able to attack at short range and weakly, but capable of reinforcing allied squares over a wide area. It is preferable to keep it as a rearguard.
    • The Inlayer is an offensive class designed for hand-to-hand combat, and is most effective in enemy-occupied territory. Its incrustation capacity is higher than that of the other two classes.

Controls

In a PvP game, both players use the same keyboard and take turns at each new turn.

  • Left click: Select an unit / a square
  • Right click + move mouse: Move camera around the field
  • Mouse wheel : Zoom in/zoom out camera
  • (M) : Move an unit
  • (A) : Attack with an unit
  • (C) : Use the capacity of an unit
  • (B) : Buff an unit
  • (E) : End the turn of an unit
  • (G) : Go back to previous menu
  • (Q) : Quit a game

Tips

  • You can click a second time on a square or double press the key corresponding to the action you want to execute to confirm it.
  • If you find the situation in the field difficult to read, don't hesitate to move the camera around!
  • If you're having trouble remembering the patterns for each unit, you can click on the small loupe next to the units' selection button on the left of the screen to open a reminder window.
